Welcome to the group! We're a fan club dedicated to Yuu Watase's shounen manga, Arata Kangatari!

Updates~!

The first two episodes of Arata Kangatari have aired. From talking to a couple of people, with whom I agree, the first episode seemed rather rushed and I dislike that they cut out some important issues that give the wrong impression of Hinohara (such as cutting out that he was pretty much a shut-in for a year). The second episode seems to be getting things back on track. Hopefully they'll revisit some of the things they glazed over earlier.

So...what do you think?

What is Arata Kangatari?

Arata Kangatari is Yuu Watase's current shounen manga, running weekly in Shōnen Sunday.

Hinohara Arata is starting fresh at a new school - away from his past bullies and humiliation. But when he arrives and finds his old nemesis, things seem to go back to the way they were. After a seeming betrayal from his new friend, Arata wishes he could disappear - and finds himself in a completely different world, having switched places with another "Arata". Now in this new world he faces both new and old rivals...

Currently this manga is being scanlated by PROJECT Kurai Ryu.

Hi there ^^

I just have a really stupid question >////<
I´m searching for colored original Arata Kangatari Artworks as references for fanarts but I can´t find what I´m searching for with google, on Yuu Watase´s homepage or elsewhere ;__; Does anyone know, where I could find colored original Artworks of Ohika and Fuyou and Seo?

Unfortunately, there isn't THAT much coloured artwork for AraKan. Most of the coloured works are on the covers (which the colors can't fully be trusted anyway because they are more stylized) and there aren't any in the Japanese volumes 1-12 (I checked all the artwork on the inside flaps of the dust jackets). It's possible there are some from Shounen Sunday covers or color inserts, but I can't recall any off hand and covers tend to feature the main characters, anyway. You're probably going to just have to wing it based on the colors we have seen for the others.
